FOV Pro requires access to your device camera to display the live field of view simulation overlay. Camera access is used for live preview display only. No video or images are recorded, stored, or transmitted from the camera feed. Images are only saved when you explicitly tap "Save to Project" — those images are saved to your device's local storage only.
FOV Pro may request optional access to your device location for DORI tagging of saved project images. Location data is embedded in saved images on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers. Location access can be denied without affecting core app functionality.
When you purchase a subscription or unlock code, payment is processed by Google Play Billing, Apple App Store, or Stripe. We do not see or store your payment card details. We receive confirmation of your purchase status from RevenueCat (our subscription management provider) which includes your app user ID and entitlement status.
When the app loads or refreshes the camera database, it makes a read-only request to our Airtable database. This request does not include any personal information — it simply fetches the current list of camera specifications.
If you submit an enquiry via our website forms (enterprise enquiry, add camera, add phone), we collect the information you provide — typically name, email address, and the details of your submission. This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and improve the database.

Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
Project data (saved camera positions and images) is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to or retained by Makalen Pty Ltd. You can delete this data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in your device settings.
Contact form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to respond to your enquiry, and no longer than 2 years.
Purchase and subscription records are retained as required for tax and legal compliance obligations under Australian law.

FOV Pro is designed for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
FOV Pro is operated from Australia. If you are accessing the app from outside Australia, your information may be processed in Australia and in the countries where our third-party service providers operate. By using FOV Pro, you consent to this transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of FOV Pro after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
